Shakira is one of my favorite singers. I love her music, style, and originally. She is from my city in Colombia, which is Barranquilla. As you know Shakira sings in different languages specially English and Spanish. There are a couple of her songs that are in both languages, but even though they are the same songs, or better to say the same rhythm, the meaning changes a lot, to make it in other languages changes a lot what the writer of the lyrics want to say and transmit. The song that I chose to talk about is Objection, and in Spanish Te Aviso, Te Anuncio. Lyrics are what make all of this different and make the contrast between them. Most of the time artist try to keep the meaning of the song, but that is really difficult and sometimes impossible. You can have one of the feelings that you want to show in the songs, but to transmit the same feelings and ideas is not going to be the same. I have try to do that, yeah !!! to transfer from Spanish to English, or vice versa, and let me tell you and is so difficult to do it following the music, you can do it, but if you try to sing it will be horrible.
